New York School Of Urban Ministry app for iPhone and iPad

Founded in 1984, the New York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM) hosts, trains, and deploys over 5,000 youth and adults for urban ministry each year by partnering with inner city pastors and churches in New York City.

In addition to providing practical urban classroom teaching and training, NYSUM provides ministry packages and accommodations with home-style meals for small and large groups at our 70,000 square foot training facility. NYSUM’s staff equips students from Colleges, Seminaries, Bible Schools, Youth Groups, and Church Groups for urban outreaches. Our students learn about inner-city ministry at the grassroots through diverse, cross-cultural, “hands-on” outreaches such as: Street Meetings, Block Parties, Muslim and Jewish evangelism, the homeless, abused women, and the disabled, terminally ill, those victimized by natural disasters, soup kitchens, rescue missions, city shelters, rehab centers, and more.
